We’re Excited to Welcome Back the Steger SD194 PTO
Dear SD194 Families, Staff, and Community,
At the beginning of the year, I shared a PTO interest survey with our families, and we received an incredible response with more than 70 parents and guardians expressing interest in being involved. From that group, a smaller number indicated a willingness to take on a leadership role, and from there, an even more dedicated group stepped forward to turn that interest into action and make the reestablishment of the SD194 PTO a reality.
I want to extend a sincere thank you to those individuals who volunteered their time, energy, and leadership to make this happen.
With the work done to reestablish the PTO, I am excited to share that at last night’s Board of Education meeting, the Board approved a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to officially reestablish the Steger School District 194 Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO). This partnership marks an important step in strengthening family engagement and creating even more opportunities to support our students and schools.
The SD194 PTO will help connect families and staff through volunteerism, community-building events, and fundraising efforts that directly benefit students. Just as important, it will provide a welcoming way for families to get involved, share ideas, and build relationships across our school community.
The newly established PTO officers are:

Treasurer - Elizabeth Crossin
Secretary - Davina Harris
Membership - Kiara Graham
More information about membership, meeting dates, and ways to participate will be shared when we return from winter break. The next meeting of the PTO will be January 16 at 5:00pm at Columbia Central. We would love to see you there.
